This film follows Las Patronas, a group of Mexican women, moved to compassion by cries of “Madre, I am hungry!” who make food and toss it – still warm – to the migrants who crowd atop “The Beast,” a freight train as it makes its way to the US. A beautifully filmed example of love and solidarity.
