Join Films On Purpose and Neighbors Link Link and for a free screening of East of Salinas, a deeply moving documentary about a young boy and his teacher – both the sons of migrant workers – who are striving to build a better future.

Reception at 6 pm, film screening at 7 pm at the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church 400 Bedford Road, Pleasantville.

A panel discussion will follow the screening.

At this event we are collecting new and gently-used practical clothing and shoes for donation to migrants arriving at the Port Authority in New York City.

Films on Purpose co-founder Andrea Garbarini is working with  www.ttlcnyc.org  (a Grannies Respond / Abuelas Responden, Inc. group) to distribute the clothing.
