A new documentary written and directed by Andrea Garbarini and Shane McGaffey

Panel discussion to follow the movie.

The American flag has always been a symbol of freedom and unity to its citizens, or has it?  Andrea Garbarini traveled and spoke with a diverse sampling of Americans, and through this journey discovered that there are many in the U.S. who feel that the flag has been co-opted by one political party and others who feel it has never represented them at all. Today for many the flag represents division, conflict and adherence to such repugnant ideologies as white supremacy.
It’s a provocative story about one woman’s journey to understand how the flag became a tool to divide the United States.
It takes Andrea to the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 and it asks:
What does the flag mean?
Is it possible to begin mending a divided country?
